The Reading Parties come to Madrid Hotel Week as a different cultural plan, which combines the intimate of reading with the social of a shared meeting. An experience that was born in New York and that Only YOU Hotels, together with LAVIDITA, has brought to its hotels to reinvent the way to enjoy books.

The format is simple and, at the same time, special: each attendee brings the book of his or her choice; a novel, a comic, an essay or even an e-book and immerses himself or herself in reading it for a few minutes of shared silence. A little bell marks the transition: time to look up, toast with a glass of wine and engage in conversation with other readers. Afterwards, the reading resumes and, finally, a space opens up to share impressions, recommendations or simply enjoy the company.

More than a literary activity, it is a space to pause the rhythm of the city, reconnect with oneself and, at the same time, with others. Young and old, voracious or shy readers; everyone has a place in this format where the important thing is not what you read, but the pleasure of reading with others.
