The balance of the 2nd edition of Madrid Hotel Week could not have been more positive, as more than 12,000 people have enjoyed the more than 100 activities of our program. Avant-garde and innovation have served as a common thread to show the breadth of services and new opportunities that go far beyond accommodation.

The Madrid Hotel Business Association (AEHM), celebrates the success of this second edition: "we are proud to say that hotels have been the main protagonists of the cultural, professional and leisure life of Madrid for a week," said Mar de Miguel, secretary general of the AEHM: "One of our main objectives is to highlight the role played by hotels in the configuration and revitalization of the neighborhoods and we are achieving it.

Between two and three times the demand for the program's activities has multiplied in this second edition, many of its more than 100 activities have completed their capacity a few hours after being made available to the public through this website. " This second edition has been a success both for the high number of participants and for the diversity and originality of the actions that have been launched," said Mar de Miguel.

Many of its most outstanding activities such as a 'Train trip to the past' developed thanks to Priceless Madrid by Mastercard, the guided tours organized by the COAM (Official College of Architects of Madrid), the family gymkhanas by the hand of the Association the Golden Keys of Spain, the different masterclasses in hotels or the concerts in the lobbies of some hotels of the association thanks to Mahou, have been an essential part of the program 'Madrid Hotel Week 2018'.

There has also been an outstanding dedication during the first 3 days of the program for hotel industry professionals who have been able to attend various round tables and informative sessions with great success in attendance. "Last year we were surprised by how well received the professional meetings were. This fact prompted us to increase the number of these activities hand in hand with Christie & Co.. and the Instituto de Empresa (IE) (IE), ESADE Alumni, El Corte Inglés Companies, STR, Simon & Kucher or the Norteños Group"explained the secretary general of the AEHM.

This second edition has increased its visibility in the city thanks to the circuits with hundreds of 'Madrid Hotel Week' banners, which have waved through the streets thanks to the support of the Tourism Area of the Madrid City Council and the General Directorate of Commerce and Entrepreneurship, support that has been maintained since the first edition of this initiative in 2017.

The AEHM has once again enjoyed the support of other public and private institutions such as the Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum, the Lázaro Galdiano Museum, as well as various entities such as the Pilar Jurado Foundation, Heritage Nacional or the Association of Artisan Entrepreneurs of the Pastry Sector of Madrid (ASEMPAS), among others.
